The vicious cycle of “plugging holes” can leave any passionate leader feeling drained and, well, hopeless. Without a solution, you run the risk of burning out the few faithful you have. Perhaps you have even fallen victim to structuring your ministry to expect the bare minimum of your volunteers in hopes of gaining greater appeal…only to be shocked when still no one will join you in the mission.

You’re not alone. Many have traveled that path before you. And here’s the reality:

Until you start honoring your volunteers with as much passion as you have for teaching children, things will never change. You will be forever stuck in the desert of “cold calls”.
