Orange Leaders Book Club

I just picked up my copy of “Making Ideas Happen” by Scott Belsky and I’m excited to dive in! I would love to be in Atlanta for the Orange staff discussions but will have to settle for joining in on the discussion online — and you can too!
Orange Leaders will be posting notes and a short synopsis from some of the discussion that our staff members are having regarding the book. You can join in the fun by picking up a copy of the book and be prepared to follow along the reading schedule, posted here.
One of the reoccurring discussions I have with churches is centered around the limitations of change due to “things that have always been”. I’m hopeful this book will challenge the status quo mindset and encourage us all to think outside the box more.
And if it has been a while since your team was stretched by a good read, why not encourage them to read along as well? Who knows….you just might find out how to make your great ideas actually happen.
What do you feel keeps you from putting your ideas into play? Do you get stuck in a creative brainstorm or shy away from changing what has always been? If you had to identify your Achilles heel, what would it be?
